Damian specialises in all aspects of dispute resolution and insolvency with a particular emphasis on contentious and non-contentious trust cases.
He has been involved in some of the most advanced trust litigation in Jersey as well as being regularly engaged in applications concerning the blessing of momentous trustee decisions, rectification, mistake and ratification.
As part of Ogier’s multi-disciplinary Restructuring & Insolvency team, Damian specialises in illiquid or insolvent trusts and formal insolvency procedures with experience in member and creditor schemes of arrangement.
Damian has also been involved in the leading Jersey cases concerning Tax Information Exchange Agreements and the application of Sovereign Immunity in the context of enforcement of international arbitration awards.

Ogier‘s litigation team is able to tackle a range of complex disputes, including disagreements between trustees and beneficiaries, matters stemming from shareholder agreements, and contentious insolvencies. Practice head Nick Williams represents clients engaged in a wide variety of disputes, including unfair prejudice cases, trust issues and matters arising out of regulatory investigations. Damian Evans is an expert trust litigator, offering experience in insolvent trusts, with Oliver Passmore taking on a broad spectrum of commercial disputes, including banking and shareholder matters, in addition to acting for clients in trust disputes. Cross-border insolvency and estates litigation form the basis of James Angus‘ practice, with Rebecca McNulty adding insurance expertise in addition to the aforementioned areas.
