Career
Richard Aftanas is Head of the firm’s Corporate and Finance practice in New York. Clients rely on Richard as a trusted advisor for strategic legal advice in a wide variety of public and private finance transactions, including initial public offerings and other public and private equity securities offerings, as well as high yield and investment-grade debt offerings.
Richard also advises U.S. and international clients with respect to corporate and securities law matters, as well as business combinations, spin-offs, debt tender offers, exchange offers, and other refinancing transactions. In addition, he regularly advises publicly traded corporations and their executive officers and directors on corporate governance, SEC compliance, and disclosure matters.
Richard was a winner of the 2013 International Law Office Client Choice Awards, which recognize partners who excel across the full spectrum of client service, and he was named a “Client Service All-Star” by the BTI Consulting Group in its 2015 Client Service All-Stars report.
