Christian Di Mauro is a litigation Partner in the Global Product law practice at Hogan Lovells. Christian is an experienced litigator with a focus on product litigation and product-related commercial, advisory, and compliance work and general commercial disputes. Christian’s work also includes assisting technology companies in assessing legal risks and in developing liability mitigation strategies related to the launch of innovative products, as well as handling product crises and coordinating cross-jurisdiction product safety actions.

Product crises have gotten bigger, more expensive, and more complex. They are the subject of media attention, regulatory scrutiny and lawsuits. Clients need to react as promptly and efficiently as possible to minimize potential negative impact on their brand and business. Christian Di Mauro is member of the Crisis Leadership Team at Hogan Lovells and works on helping international and Italian clients responding to product crisis arising out of safety and quality issues, defending product liability claims, liaising with market surveillance authorities, and handling product related regulatory and criminal investigations. The depth of Christian’s experience, which spans over more than 17 years, includes advising on matter involving pharmaceutical products, vaccines, medical devices, electrical and electronic products, connected technologies, motor vehicles and industrial equipment.

Thanks to the work done for life sciences companies over the last decade and to his in-depth knowledge of the industry, Christian “is noted for his experience in the area of life sciences”. Qualified to practice both in Italy and France and being based in both the Milan and the Paris offices, Christian leverages his knowledge of the French legal system and culture to help French clients with operations in Italy and vice versa, leading a team of Italian litigation lawyers specifically dedicated to those clients. Christian was named as Acritas Star in 2017 (in the top 10 globally, in terms of the highest number of independent nominations).
