Career

György Wellmann primarily focuses on Dispute Resolution and Public Procurement. He advises and represents clients in major international (ICC, ICSID) and Hungarian arbitrations, as well as in court proceedings. György also has extensive experience in public procurement matters and regularly represents clients before the Public Arbitration Board. He heads the firm’s Public Procurement Law practice.

He has represented several major international design companies in public procurement proceedings related to landmark sites and buildings in Budapest. He is particularly known for his involvement in landmark ICSID cases where he has represented a variety of investors against the Hungarian State.

Apart from his dispute resolution and public procurement work, György’s expertise also covers areas such as real estate law and the capital markets sector.
