Position
David-James Sebag is a Partner in Gide’s Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions team and divides his time between the New York and Paris offices. His practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, growth and private equity, with a particular emphasis on transatlantic transactions.
David-James represents a large number of international groups and private-equity funds for their investments in France, and advises French technology companies on their fund-raising and acquisitions in France and the United States. He regularly advises investors and entrepreneurs on M&A, venture capital and growth equity transactions, particularly in the tech, AI , healthcare sectors or sensitive businesses (for foreign investment control).
He recently advised Talend (NASDAQ) on its acquisition by private equity fund Thoma Bravo for USD 2.4 billion; Spendesk, MWM, Nfinite, Odaseva, Launchmetrics, and many other growth companies on their financing in France and the United States (Seed, Series A, B, C and above); many VC and growth investors for their operations in France.
David-James is a lawyer at the Paris and New York bars.
Career
Prior to joining Gide, David-James was a partner in the corporate department of an international law firm in Paris, after beginning his career in the New York office of a US firm.
