Brazil Awards 2026

Brazil’s legal landscape in 2024 and 2025 reflected a period of economic recalibration and regulatory evolution. Under President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the government pursued expanded social initiatives alongside a phased tax reform, while transactional activity continued across energy, infrastructure, technology, and agribusiness sectors, with deal flow consolidating into fewer but more substantial transactions. Arbitration, renewable energy, and digital finance have emerged as dynamic growth areas, as new taxation and sustainability frameworks reshape the legal landscape for domestic and cross-border mandates alike.

Legal 500 is pleased to recognise Brazil’s most accomplished legal professionals across private practice and in-house roles. These prestigious awards draw on the rigorous independent research conducted for our annual Latin America guide, shining a spotlight on the firms, teams, and practitioners setting new standards of excellence. Shortlists and winners were determined by a team led by Legal 500 Brazil editor Daniela Costa and in-house research editor Francisco Castro, supported by researchers with deep knowledge of Brazil’s legal market.

The Brazil Awards celebrate outstanding achievement across key practice areas and strategic themes, recognising the individuals and teams who are defining the future of legal services in one of Latin America’s most dynamic markets
