The project is being procured in response to the hardening commodities market and the limited value being provided through conventional outsourcing contracts. The Councils are committing to supply all recyclable materials to the new facility and will assume all upside and downside risk associated with the sale of off-take materials.
- Advising the Council on the procurement of a private sector partner, Countryside, to establish a corporate joint venture for the development of a number of Council owned sites in the Borough. The first three sites are in the town centre and have an estimated development value of £150 million and the project provides a 20 years pipeline of development opportunities valued at over £1 billion.
