Santo Domingo-based boutique Santroni Parsons has over two decades’ experience advising clients on environmental law issues, ecologic tourism and sustainable development. Together with environmental consultancy Sambito, the firm has also been measuring its own carbon footprint and implementing various internal measures and best practices as well as offsetting emissions. In July 2022 it became the first law firm in the Dominican Republic to achieve a certification as carbon neutral by TUV Rheinland.

Firm founder and head of the environmental and sustainability practice, Romina Santroni is also legal director of ECORED, an association promoting sustainability in business. As such, she was heavily involved in the drafting of a proposal on Dominican waste legislation.
