Position

Family practice, strong bias towards financial remedies. Acted for successful wife in Supreme Court in Wyatt v Vince [2015] UKSC (Strike out, abuse of process, legal costs funding, costs orders) and successful husband in Mils v Mils [2018] UKSC 38. Court of Appeal decisions include Villiers [2022] EWCA 722, Hague Convention and jurisdiction issues, internal relocation (Re R [2016] EWCA 1016), recusal and judicial humour (El Faragy [2007] EWCA 1147), Schedule 1 (Morgan v Hil [2006] EWCA 1602). High Court decisions on jurisdiction (Villiers [2021] EWFC 38), habitual residence (AJ v DM [2019] EWHC 702), Sch 1 applications (F v G [2005] 1 FLR 261) reinstating lump sum claim(Re G [2004] 1 FLR 997), big money footballers (Q v Q [2005] 2 FLR 640), excessive costs (RH v RH [2008] 2 FLR 2142), offshore trusts (B v B [2010] l AER D61 and the Hagen litigation July 2017).
