Career
Luis Vargas is head of the Corporate and M&A practice at DLA Piper Peru. He concentrates his practice on local and cross-border corporate structures, corporate governance practices, and overall contract negotiation matters.
Likewise, Luis has extensive experience providing legal advice in reorganization matters and complex corporate transactions in national and international franchises and joint ventures.
He has handled mergers and acquisitions mandates for local and foreign companies in various sectors, including construction, energy, real estate, retail, and agriculture. Other critical areas of his practice concentrate on foreign and local investment, mainly in private capital work, advising fund managers on their investments in Peru, including due diligence processes.
Finally, Luis guides clients in adapting to consumer data protection regulations and all aspects of merger control and antitrust matters.
