Career

Alexander Odle heads the Intellectual Property, Data and Technology (IPD&T) team in Amsterdam. He has over 30 years of experience in trade law , more specifically intellectual property, information technology, data and commercial contracting.

Within the Amsterdam IPD&T team he focusses on IP litigation, IP restructuring, transactions and licensing, Technology Transfer, IT and Commercial contracts, and advertising clearing. He handles complex and cross-border IP enforcement and commercial matters and has litigated many high profile trademark and design cases including before the Benelux Court of Justice and the Courts of the European Union.

He was appointed as teacher in “International Intellectual Property law and Transactions” for post graduates at Leiden University in 2014.

Dentons mainly advises finance, fintech and retail clients on data protection regulatory and compliance issues. The team has assisted clients with data regulatory projects involving new issues such as use of non-personal data.
