Dentons mainly advises finance, fintech and retail clients on data protection regulatory and compliance issues. The team has assisted clients with data regulatory projects involving new issues such as use of non-personal data. Alexander Odle leads the team and has expertise across IP, data and technology matters. Associate Rosemarie Schaar often advises on IT-related agreements. Previous practice head Marc Elshof  left the firm in October 2023.

The group at Dentons is known for its capabilities defending the EU design and copyrights of Dutch branches of international companies. The team also has strong counterfeiting capabilities. Alexander Odle has noteworthy abilities handling the range of litigious trade mark and design matters in international contexts, while Alexander van Laaren is also equipped to assist with trade mark prosecutions; the two co-lead the practice.
