João Paulo Gomes is a partner in the Employment and Pensions practice at CMS Portugal and the head of the Madeira office. He provides labour advice to multinational companies, as well as local companies established in Madeira (within and outside the Madeira Free Trade Zone), notably in the hospitality, industry, construction and the airport sectors. He has extensive experience assisting employers with employment restructurings, incorporation of companies, employment contracts, arbitrations, as well as conducting a wide range of labour, civil and public litigation.
He also provides corporate and real estate advice to companies based in the International Business Centre of Madeira, focusing mainly on foreign multinationals investing in this financial center.
