Trusts and private equity funds also frequently seek the firm’s advice. The sizeable and experienced department includes managing partner Luis Gerardo del Valle, who is well versed in transactional and contentious tax matters, as well as the structuring of funds. Luis Carballo is a reliable choice for tax litigation and arbitration; while Josemaría Férez Gil – who was appointed partner in January 2024 – is an up-and-coming tax and administrative law litigator. David Hurtado Badiola‘s tax practice is complemented by strong knowledge across international trade matters; and Oscar Paz, another January 2024 partner promotion, has particularly strong experience advising multinational investment and real estate funds. All five above named lawyers jointly coordinate the practice.
