Omer Tene is a partner in the firm’s Technology group and Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice.

He is an Affiliate Scholar at the Stanford Center for Internet and Society, and Senior Fellow at the Future of Privacy Forum. He was appointed to the Arbitration Panel under the US-EU Privacy Shield Agreement and was the Rapporteur for the 30-year review of the OECD Privacy Guidelines.

Goodwin advises clients on cyber incident response in the tech, life sciences, financial services, private equity and real estate industries. The firm leverages its knowledge on federal and state privacy law, as well as AI regulation, to support clients in litigation and policymaking. Its expertise also includes adtech, biometrics, generative AI, fintech and crypto matters. Based in New York, AI expert Peter Marta, data litigator Mark David McPherson and risk management advisor Jud Welle lead the team. McPherson and Marta joined from Morrison Foerster in January 2024 and Hogan Lovells US LLP in September 2024 respectfully. Fellow practice head Kyle Tayman works out of Washington DC and represents clients before the FTC and other government agencies in their investigations.
