Career

Nathalie Marchand practices in the Intellectual Property Group of Baker McKenzie. She has developed extensive experience in complex intellectual property litigation before French courts. She assists companies in the protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights including the drafting and negotiation of IP agreements and on IP aspects of transactional matters. Nathalie Marchand joined Baker McKenzie from Jones Day in 2011 and was appointed Partner in 2015.
Ms. Marchand’s area of practice covers a wide range of intellectual property rights including trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition and trade secret. She has developed an extensive experience in complex IP litigation before French civil and criminal courts in first instance and well as in appeal. In particular, she handles significant trademark and copyright litigation cases, as well as litigation related to the payment of copyright levies for private copying.
Nathalie has also significant depth of experience handling IP aspect of M&A transaction and assisting with IP transactional matters (e.g., licensing, R&D, joint venture or consortium agreements) in a wide range of industries and in particular in for the pharmaceutical and aerospace industries. Nathalie is ranked in Legal 500 EMEA and Paris as well as other international IP focused and national rankings.
