Career

Angus has a broad corporate finance practice, advising many of our investment funds and other clients on financing transactions, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions (public and private), regulatory obligations and non-contentious restructuring.

He has a particular focus on providing regulatory and other advice to international banks and other financial institutions with Cayman Islands branches or subsidiaries, as well as advising clients on debt issues, facility arrangements, Islamic Finance structures and Eurobond and Specialist Dent Listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.

Angus is involved in a wide range of international corporate M&A, capital markets, joint venture, restructuring and commercial transactions. Recent transactions include advice on mergers, reverse takeovers and other significant transactions for listed Cayman Islands companies, trust certificate issuance programmes and acquisitions of Cayman Islands companies.

He acts for a number pf the firm’s largest investment funds clients in relation to new fund formation, on-going regulatory and corporate advice, and management of liquidity issues.

Angus joined Ogier in 2005 and became a partner in 2010. Prior to joining Ogier, he worked for a number of years as a solicitor with Minter Ellison and PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal in Sydney, Australia.

Education

He recieved his Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws, with Honours, from the Australian National University in 2000 and his Master of Laws from the University of Sydney in 2005.
