Career

Peter is a specialist charity and social economy lawyer. His expertise includes charity and social economy law, social investment (including charity and social enterprise share and bond issues), commercial contracts and data protection, and financial services regulation. He is also a member of the team’s social investment, renewable energy, employee ownership and community-led housing teams.

He is one of the firm’s data protection representatives, who are tasked with ensuing the firm’s compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. Peter is a board member of the award-winning Leeds based social enterprise Seagulls Reuse, a former trustee of the Leeds Cares and a Human Rights observer for Liberty.

Peter qualified as a solicitor in 2006 starting his legal career as a banking and finance lawyer at international law firm DLA Piper. He joined Wrigleys Charities and Social Economy team in 2013 and was promoted to partner in 2017.
