Eleni is a commercial litigation and arbitration specialist with long standing expertise in art law and is responsible for contentious art matters in London. She is described as someone who is ‘highly respected within the sector’ and ‘very knowledgeable and exceptional with clients’, someone who ‘just gets it, knows how cases should be handled especially when it comes to the very sensitive ones’.
Eleni co-heads the firm’s widely respected international arbitration practice and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators acting as counsel and as arbitrator in commercial disputes in many sectors such as technology, oil and gas, construction. She has acted as counsel in many high value shareholder or joint venture disputes in a number of institutions including LCIA, LMAA and ICC.
Eleni is a trusted adviser to high net worth individuals and their businesses often advising on cross- border matters. In the art sector, she is acting for governments, art galleries, art advisers, art lenders and borrowers, museums, artists and collectors in all types of art related disputes and transactions and has dealt with high profile international title disputes, consignment, provenance and authenticity disputes. She is an expert in restitution matters having advised governments and individuals on a range of matters including recently successfully acting for the Government of Iraq on a long standing restitution matter on an Assyrian Relief.
