Position
Alice Wilson is the Lead Partner for Weightmans’ UK Property Damage team and has specialised in all aspects of property and business interruption insurance for 15 years.
Alice acts for major insurers and their policyholders in relation to major and complex coverage disputes, subrogated recoveries, and in the defence of claims made against policyholders.
Her experience covers a broad spectrum of property claims, including substantial fires, explosions, flooding, theft, building collapse and subsidence.
Not only is Alice an established expert in this field, she brings with her a unique insight into the challenges faced by her insurer clients, having undertaken several secondments within insurer property claims teams.
She prides herself on her forensic approach to claims and ability to cut through complex issues to provide clients with a commercial route to a favourable solution, avoiding litigation whenever possible.
