Career

As a Counsel in the Finance & Financial Regulation group in Milan, Giovanni assists major Italian and EU fund managers on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters, as well as in the structuring of their investment products, with a particular focus on real estate alternative investment fund structures.

His activities range from supporting clients in relation to their authorisation process with the relevant Italian supervisory Authorities (including the structuring of their internal governance and procedures), to assisting them in the structuring, authorisation and distribution of alternative investment funds (both corporate and contractual structures), as well as in the management of their relationships with investors and supervisory authorities (also in the context of administrative sanctioning proceedings).

He is also involved on a daily basis in managing the most varied legal and compliance issues for some of the biggest Italian AIFMs as well as for EU AIFMs managing Italian AIFs, and has relevant expertise in supporting clients on understanding and dealing with challenges arising from the evolution of the applicable legal and regulatory framework.

He also regularly deals with banks and other financial intermediaries on regulatory matters and has been involved in capital markets transactions.
