Career

Priyanka was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2017 after graduating with her Law degree from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom in 2016.   She joined the Firm as a pupil and was called to the Peninsular Malaysian Bar in March 2019.  Since then, as part of the Corporate & Commercial Practice Group, she has chalked up considerable experience in the practice areas of regulatory and corporate advisory, compliance, banking and finance, FinTech, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions.

A substantial part of Priyanka’s practice involves advising on regulatory compliance under multiple legal frameworks and applications for licensing/registration with regulatory authorities. Her clients include financial institutions, registered market operators, payment service providers, merchant acquirers, oil and gas companies and tourism industry players.

Beyond regulatory matters, her experience includes assisting in acquisitions of local companies by conducting due diligence exercises on companies in various industries.
