Alan’s expertise in employment spans the full spectrum of labour-related issues that may arise in Indonesia. These include – but are not limited to: advising on Indonesia’s complex expatriate employment rules; conducting manpower-related investigations for both public and private corporations; providing regulatory advice; representing employers in negotiations with the Manpower Ministry and labour unions; preparing legal action against employees suspected of fraud; and advising employers on matters related to agency/or contract labour – something that Indonesia’s labour unions fiercely opposed and which has recently been the subject of important Constitutional Court litigation and new governmental restriction.
