Emmalene Bushnell  – Leigh Day

The clinical negligence team at Leigh Day has been noted for its  ‘unfailing dedication’ in pursuing outcomes on behalf of claimants in matters covering a diverse range of neurological, cognitive, and spinal injury cases in a variety of clinical departments. Along with achieving high-value settlements in birth injury cases, the team is experienced in a number of misdiagnosis cases, particularly those involving novel or rare cancers, as well as harm resultant from psychological negligence. Highlighted for her ‘very practical mindset’, Practice head Suzanne White is experienced in birth injury and amputation cases, as well as inquests. Angharad Vaughan holds over 15 years of experience in cerebral palsy, cognitive and psychological negligence claims. Olive Lewin  is praised for her work in matters relating to spinal cord and maternal injury claims, while Kirsten Wall is especially active in disputes arising in military circumstances. Emmalene Bushnell  and Maria Panteli  are key members of the team in maternal matters, with Panteli’s activity in breast cancer litigation coinciding with Bushnell’s experience in birth injuries resulting in gynecological injuries.
