Career

Sofia Sventzouri is a Senior Associate of Machas and Partners. Specializing in civil matters, family law, car accident lawsuits, inheritance and property law, as well as labor law, she has extensive judicial experience.

Sofia has also broad experience in administrative law and first-degree local self-government matters. During the years 2003-2011 she collaborated with the law firm of the Legal Advisor of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (K.E.D.E.), handling cases of public procurement contracts, services and loans, legality checks of administrative decisions, pre-contractual, preventive and suspensive control of expenditures before the Hellenic Court of Audit, as well as extensive work on the drafting of comments on bills, on draft Ministerial Orders – Presidential Decree(s) of the Ministry of Interior.

She actively participated in the process of writing the book by P. Zygouris – G. Papadopoulos, “New Architecture of Self-Government and Decentralized Administration – Program Kallikrates – Law 3852/2010, edition 2010” and “Municipal and Community Code -Law 3463/2006, edition 2008” by P. Zygouris.

Sofia is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of Greece.
