Matthijs is an experienced lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and capital market transactions. He has worked on numerous high-profile transactions, including IPOs, public takeover bids and domestic and international joint ventures. Matthijs advises large and medium-sized enterprises (both publicly traded and private companies), as well as private equity and venture capital investors. Matthijs possesses extensive experience in the Technology, Energy, Life Sciences and Healthcare sector.
Matthijs was a partner at Houthoff before setting up Rutgers & Posch. He worked for Herbert Smith Freehills in London in 2003.
