Jakub specialises in procedural and civil law. He represents major banks in proceedings before common and administrative courts.

He has many years of experience in dealing with claims arising from foreign currency or currency-indexed loan agreements. He develops litigation strategies, and advises financial institutions on so-called “Swiss franc credit” agreements.

Jakub also handles infrastructure disputes arising from construction contracts, including those based on FIDIC standard forms. He represents clients, inter alia, in cases concerning withdrawal from construction works contracts, contractual penalties for delay and valorisation of the contractor’s remuneration due to an extraordinary change in relations.

He is the author of numerous publications on banking law and civil litigation in the financial sector.

Prior to joining Kochański & Partners, he worked at the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Poland.
