Career
Marek specialises in energy, infrastructure and industrial projects, as well as investments and transactions in the energy market for Polish and international clients. He comprehensively advises on regulatory, investment, transactional and environmental matters.
He has wide experience in project development within the energy sector (including RES, nuclear and cogeneration), asset & share deals, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures, energy sector-specific agreements and other commercial contracts.
He also advises on EU energy and climate policy issues, including ETS, ETS2 and ESG.
Marek supports clients in implementing solutions addressing the challenges of the ongoing transformation of the Polish and European energy sector. In addition, he represents clients in proceedings before authorities including the Energy Regulatory Office, environmental agencies, and during legislative procedures.
The combination of his economic and legal education from various jurisdictions and managerial experience allows him to anticipate fluctuating market challenges and to effectively address any business issues that may arise.
He provides training and lectures, and mentors junior lawyers, managers and students, and is the author of numerous publications on commercial and energy law.
