Career
He founded the Law Firm, together with other partners, in 2004.
He has previously worked, from 1987 to 1996, for two primary Italian law firms, and in 1996 he joined the UK Law Firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. From 2001 to 2004, he was a European Partner of the US law firm Squire Sanders & Dempsey.
He advises national and international clients active in the steel and iron, life science and pharma, telecommunication, publishing, mechanical and chemical markets. He assists US, Japanese and EU corporations in M&A deals, industrial and commercial joint ventures, the restriction of foreign investments in strategical sectors (“Golden Power”) and corporate investigation.
He has advised many clients in various Italian and cross-border M&A transactions in different business sectors, negotiated several industrial and commercial national and international joint ventures, and drafted numerous supply agreements concerning goods and services in different areas of the iron & steel market (e.g. raw materials, offtake agreements, supply and services agreements, supply agreements in the automotive, steel, inox – i.e. stainless steel -, plant supply and construction markets), chemical and derived products field, publishing and mechanical industry. He has assisted multinational corporations and private equity funds in the structuring and implantation of majority or minority shareholdings acquisitions in the fashion, television, life science, TMT, paint and construction, maritime and yachting markets.
He has taken part on behalf of his clients as lead counsel in over fifteen international arbitration procedures at the ICC, VIAC and LCIA with the application of Italian, German, French law and international conventions such as UN Wien CISG 1980.
