Position

I am a partner of the firm’s Corporate and M&A team with primary focus on corporate law and significant experience in the M&A field. I have worked with Sorainen since 2013.

Career

Covering full life cycle. With considerable experience in projects covering all three Baltic States, I advise local and international clients throughout the life cycle of their business: from company founding, development and growth, to company closure.

Significant merger of road maintenance firms. One of the most significant and challenging projects I have been involved with was the merger of all the state-owned road maintenance companies in Lithuania. I was responsible for the successful merger of 11 state-owned road maintenance companies into a single unit. After completing the merger, a new company, Kelių priežiūra, was formed. This company employs around 2 600 people and has a yearly turnover of approx 100 million euros.

Webhelp transaction. In one of the larger M&A transactions I have been handling lately, I advised Webhelp – a global business process outsourcing (BPO) and customer experience company ‒ on its acquisition of the majority of shares in Runway BPO, a multilingual nearshore BPO firm servicing Scandinavian and international customers. The acquisition added nine multilingual centres and 1,000 individuals to the acquiring group of Webhelp.

Improving the business environment. As an active member of an expert group that reviews and updates Lithuanian company law, I contribute to improving the country’s legal business environment. I also served on a steering committee formed by the Ministry of Economy to advise the government on improving the country’s legal landscape in company law.

Evaldas Dūdonis – Sorainen

Sorainen‘s corporate, M&A, and employment team advises on a broad spectrum of corporate matters, from internal corporate structures and complex shareholder consolidations, to the acquisition and sale of businesses. The firm has seen a lot of recent activity in mandates surrounding private equity and venture capital, as well as the energy, fintech and TMT arenas. Emphasising the breadth and depth of experience on the bench, the leadership team is comprised of five lawyers: Sergej Butov has extensive experience in the energy sector, Laimonas Skibarka specialises in M&A transactions within the TMT sector, Algirdas Pekšys has a particular interest in corporate governance, while Mantas Petkevičius leads the private equity and venture capital team, and Evaldas Dūdonis leads the regional defence sector with a primary focus on corporate law.
