Career

As leader of the Sorainen Finance & Insurance team in Estonia, Kätlin specialises in capital markets and has also been involved in most of the team’s fintech- and cryptocurrency-related projects.

Kätlin has helped many clients to raise capital on the stock market, taking them through the process of drafting a prospectus and registering with the state authority, as well as advising on corporate governance, disclosure and listing.

The roster of listings in which Kätlin has been instrumental is impressive. For example, she led Sorainen’s international team in advising the book-runners for the Enefit Green IPO – the IPO with the largest number of subscribers in the history of the Baltics. The list also includes SaunumElmo RentArco Vara and Baltic Horizon Fund.

Capital market diagnostics. Kätlin contributed to the Estonian capital market diagnostics project carried out by the consultation company Civitta Eesti. The aim of the project was to assess the current status of the capital market ecosystem, conduct a gap analysis to identify barriers for development as well as potential improvement levers.

Bond issues. Kätlin is involved in the majority of bond issues that the Sorainen team is working on, concerning both listed and unlisted bonds.

Market abuse and disclosure advice. She advises clients on disclosure and market abuse regulation, and assists with establishing the required internal procedures and related training.

Public offerings. Kätlin has advised clients in connection with raising capital throughout the process, including prospectus drafting and registering with the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority, as well as advising on corporate governance, disclosure and listing.
