Position

Dr. Lauras Butkevičius has over 20 years of legal experience advising companies in trade, pharma, TMT, and other sectors on various competition and state regulatory issues. Lauras represents clients in competition law infringement proceedings before competition authorities and courts. He also contributes to large and complex M&A transactions in Lithuania and foreign jurisdictions. Lauras has worked on the largest and most complex merger transactions of recent years in health care, production and trade, road construction, financial services, and other sectors.

Dr. Butkevičius is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University and member of Science Center of Administrative Law and Administrative Justice. Lauras’ main areas of scientific interest, research, and expertise are competition law and policy, state supervision of private undertakings, and European Union law.
