Ana has extensive experience consulting on energy matters, which she acquired while working as Head State Advocate at the Secretariat of State for Energy and coordinating the Mutual Legal Assistance Agreements signed with the Spanish Energy Commission, the Spanish Commission on Markets and Competition (Energy area), the Nuclear Safety Council and the Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE). In addition, Ana has taken part in international arbitration proceedings arising from the Energy Charter Treaty.

Position

Ana joined Pérez-Llorca in May 2019 and she was made Partner in January 2021. Before joining the firm, Ana held the role of Head State Advocate at the Secretariat of State for Energy.

Career

Previously, she was State Advocate at the National High Court for six years, and was coordinator of the Energy and Telecommunications practice area. As part of this role, she coordinated the Mutual Legal Assistance Agreements signed between the State Advocate’s Office and the Spanish Energy Commission, the Spanish Commission on Markets and Competition (Energy area), the Nuclear Safety Council and the Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE).
