Alan Wetterhahn

Work Department
Commercial.
Position
I am a contract specialist with specific expertise in sports, esports, gaming, tech, ecommerce and data protection.
I have been with Fladgate since 2008. I joined as a young lawyer, bright-eyed and with all of my hair. I have since become a partner at the firm. I still have bright eyes.
My legal career began in South Africa and I have been lucky to work in areas of the law where I have a real interest. In the words of Gary Neville, I would have snapped your hand off if, as a student, you would have offered me the chance to work on Cricket World Cups, F1 sponsorship deals and high profile football transfers.
The work I do is certainly interesting and I enjoy working closely with clients to understand their business and become a part of their team so that we can work successfully together to make the most of opportunities that arise and to overcome challenges and challengers.
Career
Edward Nathan & Friedland, South Africa, qualified in England 2005; made partner Fladgate 2013.
Education
King David High School; University of the Witwatersrand (Bachelor of Commerce 1995, LLB 1997).
