Career

Annemieke van der Beek leads the section EU & Competition law. Annemieke offers strategic advice on the full range of EU and Dutch competition law issues, including compliance, complex cooperation agreements and joint ventures, cartels, distribution, and merger control. She advises clients with dominant market positions about the dynamics between competition law and their commercial policy. She is especially experienced in the financial, health care/ life sciences and media and technology sectors.

She organizes tailored compliance trainings for clients to prevent risks concerning competition law and assists clients in case of dawn raids and regulatory investigations.

Due to her vast experience, pragmatic approach and a longstanding good relationship with regulators she often delivers favorable results for clients from supervisory authorities such as the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM), the Dutch Healthcare Inspectorate (NZa), and the European Commission.

Annemieke also has ample experience in representing clients in proceedings against the supervisors (ACM, NZa and the European Commission), as well as in the Dutch courts and the European judicial bodies.

Annemiek is member of the Advisory Committee on Competition law of The Netherlands Bar and is an associate of the Dutch Magazine for European law.
