Career
Hugh qualified as a solicitor in 2012. Hugh is a residential property specialist experienced in high-value conveyancing and acting for both banks and borrowers in secured lending transactions. In particular, Hugh has extensive experience in acting on new-build acquisitions and sales and frequently represents purchasers based outside of the UK.
Conveyancing is a process-driven area of the law, and Hugh works hard to ensure that his client’s interests are paramount by ensuring that the process is made as streamlined as possible through prompt and clear communication. Hugh ensures that he understands his client’s objectives and tailors his advice according to his client’s requirements. Hugh takes a commercial and collaborative approach to property law, and is always conscious that all parties to a transaction share an over-arching common goal of completing the matter as efficiently as possible.
Clients and intermediaries alike appreciate Hugh’s clear communication and collaborative, calm, pro-active approach to what can often be a stressful process.
Memberships
Hugh has been ranked within the “Top 35 Under 35 private client practitioners”, eprivateclient awards 2020.
