Position
Darryl is the Head of RDJ’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team and is also a member of the firm’s IP, Media, Insolvency and Corporate Restructuring teams. He has extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on financial services litigation, contentious media, technology and IP disputes, as well as acting for liquidators and receivers in insolvency related litigation.

Ashling Walsh heads the insolvency and corporate restructuring team, and has a background in advising financial institutions on debt settlement arrangements, bankruptcy arrangements and enforcement actions. The non-contentious IP practice is headed by Diarmaid Gavin, a seasoned expert in knowledge transfer, collaborative research, and IP licensing, while the contentious IP practice is led by Darryl Broderick, a litigation specialist with a focus on media and intellectual property disputes.

RDJ LLP has made considerable progress in recent years, representing clients in a multitude of headline commercial cases, while remaining a force in professional negligence and aviation disputes. Data protection, insurance, contract disputes, judicial review, shareholder disputes, construction and healthcare cases are also areas of particular specialism. The firm continued to act for Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers in the headline cross-border proceedings before the Irish High Court, initiated by six Irish based aircraft lessors which had aircraft on lease to Russian airlines at the time of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Jamie Olden has an outstanding reputation for professional negligence cases, while Richard Martin is also highly rated. Ronan Geary heads the commercial litigation team and is noted for contract disputes and judicial review. Darryl Broderick is rated for TMT disputes, Ricky Kelly for cyber security incidents and Marianne Lonergan for a variety of contentious matters.
