A highly recommended litigator, Claus has conducted a number of significant cases, before civil courts and arbitration tribunals alike, many of them over complex commercial problems. He has successfully tackled major cases in the financial sector. He also devotes a substantial portion of his practice to management and professional liability cases, employment law and corporate criminal law. Another particular area of expertise is the issues that arise where company law/M&A and employment law intersect.

Internationally, Claus has widespread contacts, and his advice is often sought by international lawyers and businesses because of his innate understanding of their special needs. He is also one of Kromann Reumert’s two representatives in Lex Mundi, the world’s biggest and premier international lawyers’ network.

Claus is very attentive to client needs, drawing on his many years of experience to deliver proactive and hands-on solutions – solutions which go beyond traditional legal advice to ensure that each task is resolved to accommodate the individual client’s business situation and requirements.

Claus offers particular strength handling extremely large cases, effectively coordinating excruciating amounts of documents while at the same time staying on top of even the most complex legal issues. He has argued some of the biggest cases heard before a Danish court of law in recent times, including some of the biggest Supreme Court cases.

Claus became a partner in 1997.
