Position
Marilena has 20 years’ experience in strategic legal advice in the fields of personal data protection, cybersecurity and new technology law. She also has experience in general compliance, risk mapping and organisational models pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, whistleblowing, judicial proceedings and internal investigations, also in cross-border contexts. Marilena assists international groups and leading Italian companies in the definition of data governance plans, compliance with privacy and cybersecurity regulations, including the GDPR and the AI Act, the NIS2 Directive and the Dora Regulation. He assists in the analysis and management of IT incidents, supporting clients in legal proceedings, interactions and disclosures to the Authorities, as well as in the definition of information flows, risk analysis and strategic assessments on possible disclosures to stakeholders and interested parties. Marilena has also assisted in proceedings pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, focusing on computer crimes, fraud and corruption, both domestic and international, with implications in multiple jurisdictions.
Career
Marilena Hyeraci joined the Firm as of Counsel in 2022.
Marilena is regularly invited as a speaker at conferences in Italy and abroad and is the author of numerous publications and articles. She holds training courses on data protection, cybersecurity, general compliance and liability profiles, for members of boards of directors, Data Protection Officers, executives and senior management of companies, as well as for various associations.
