Position
Márton Kocsis, who joined the firm in 2015 from the Hungarian Competition Authority (“HCA”) and was appointed as a partner in 2022 (after spending one year as Group Compliance Chief Counsel at MOL Group), bringing deep knowledge and his large competition network to the team from the other side of the table.
He is the head and manages the day-to-day operation of the Competition & Compliance Practice Group at CERHA HEMPEL Dezső. He is a highly experienced and respected competition lawyer who has been active in all fields of regulatory law for well over a decade. Mr Kocsis worked for the Hungarian Competition Authority in Budapest and the European Commission Directorate General for Competition in Brussels for more than eight years. Mr Kocsis participated and acted as a leading investigator in several high-profile cartel and abuse of dominance cases.
Mr Kocsis is also a long-serving member of the Supervisory Board of the Hungarian Competition Law association, as well as external member of the marketing-compliance advisory board of Yettel, a strong player on the Hungarian telecommunications market.
