Carolina De Nardi is Senior Director and Chief Counsel for Latin America at Zoetis, leading the Legal & Compliance function across Brazil and the region. She brings 25 years of in-house legal experience, including 19 years as Head of Legal & Compliance and 10 years leading Legal in Latin America, with expertise spanning complex contract negotiations, M&A and post-merger integration, litigation management, and government relations.

Maria Madalena G. Porangaba, Head of Legal, CCEE
Maria Madalena Gonçalves Porangaba is Executive Legal and Market Security Manager at the Brazilian Electric Energy Trading Chamber (CCEE) and Chair of the Energy Committee of the São Paulo Lawyers Institute (IASP). She holds an LL.M. in Civil Procedure from the University of São Paulo (USP) and postgraduate degrees in Energy Law from IBDE and Oil and Gas Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).
With more than two decades of experience in the energy sector, she has developed expertise in regulatory matters, strategic litigation, contracts and market governance. Throughout her career, she has led high-impact initiatives involving market security mechanisms, financial operations and regulatory structuring, combining legal expertise with a strong business-oriented approach.
Madalena is also recognized for driving organizational improvements, implementing performance indicators and developing multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the advancement and modernization of Brazil’s energy sector.

André Margato, Head of Legal, Latin America, JCB
André Margato is Head of Legal & Compliance for Latin America at JCB, a global company operating in the construction and agricultural machinery sectors. In this role, he leads the region’s legal and compliance agenda, with responsibilities spanning corporate governance, commercial operations, litigation management, risk mitigation, and strategic business support.
His career has been built in complex and highly operational environments, particularly across the engineering, construction, and oil & gas sectors. Prior to joining JCB, he worked at companies including the Italian Argentinian Techint Group, where he gained significant experience in EPC projects, contract management, and dispute prevention.
His professional approach is driven by the belief that the in-house legal function should go beyond a reactive support role, becoming a business-oriented governance platform. For André, modern legal leadership requires technical excellence, commercial awareness, operational discipline, and the ability to anticipate risks before they evolve into disputes.
André holds an MBA in Business Management from the University of São Paulo, a specialisation in Tax Management from UNICAMP, and a Master’s degree focused on Alternative Dispute Resolution from Escola Paulista de Direito. He has also completed executive programmes at Fundação Dom Cabral, Insper, and SDA Bocconi.
