Magdalena Zwolińska is a partner and advocate at HRLS Zwolińska&Zwoliński with over 15 years of experience advising employers on complex employment law matters. She specialises in collective labour law, with particular expertise in workforce restructurings, collective redundancies, trade union relations, collective bargaining and executive employment matters. Magdalena regularly advises management teams of Polish and international companies on strategic organisational transformation projects, employee relations and workplace investigations, and represents employers in complex employment litigation. She is ranked by Chambers Europe for Employment and recognised by Legal 500 as a Next Generation Partner.

Michał Marcinkowski is a member of the management board, director of the HR and communications division at FBSerwis S.A. (Budimex Group).

For the past four years, he has been responsible for the People and Communications function across all companies in the FBSerwis Group (owner of Budimex).

He has over 26 years’ managerial and specialist experience in all aspects of HR, gained, amongst others, at the Orlen Group, RUCH, PGE, PGZ and also in the public sector – at the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR).

In addition, for the past 17 years, he has actively served as a mediator in collective disputes on the Minister of Labour’s list, drawing on the experience gained from hundreds of hours spent in successful negotiations with trade unions.

He has led numerous complex HR, organisational and restructuring projects.

He considers an understanding of business and the working environment to be crucial in HR practice.

Justyna Wilczyńska-Baraniak, partner and head of the tech, cyber, IP & data practice, Greenberg Traurig

Justyna Wilczyńska-Baraniak advises Polish and international clients on technology transactions and projects relating to IP, data, and cybersecurity, with a particular focus on highly regulated sectors such as finance, telecommunications, energy, life sciences, media, and e-commerce. She successfully combines business and regulatory perspectives in her practice, translating complex legal requirements into practical solutions that enable the secure implementation of technology and the efficient completion of transactions.

Justyna regularly coordinates complex international projects involving legal teams across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring consistency of approach and work pace, and the achievement of clients’ business objectives. Justyna supports clients in implementing cloud solutions and artificial intelligence projects, ensuring compliance with the AI Act. She also specializes in drafting and negotiating IT and SaaS agreements, and advising on DORA, UKSC (NIS2), personal data protection, and cybersecurity incident response.

She is an expert in defense and security sector transactions, including technology transfer, intellectual property licensing, and negotiating strategic contracts. She also provides comprehensive regulatory support and protection of key know-how. She has experience in handling unfair competition and patent disputes, and in assisting clients in enforcing intellectual property rights within the European Union.

Katarzyna Witkowska-Malinowska, attorney-at-law, heads the White-Collar Crime and Litigation teams, CRIDO

Katarzyna has 20 years of experience handling complex cases involving economic and tax crime, as well as cybercrime. She has acted as defence counsel in proceedings in which prosecutors alleged misconduct involving billions in financial losses. She has also represented clients in high-profile, widely reported cases involving corruption and acting to the detriment of a company.

Her practice also covers complex civil and commercial disputes, as well as matters concerning the liability of management board members towards the company. She is regularly recommended by the prestigious Legal 500 ranking in the White-Collar Crime and Private Client categories. In 2023, she was a finalist in the Women in Business Law (Europe) awards in the categories of White-Collar Crime Lawyer of the Year and Litigator of the Year.

She was recognised in the nationwide Rising Stars – Lawyers, Leaders of Tomorrow competition early in her professional career. She has received numerous academic distinctions, including the prestigious Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund scholarship. She is the author of numerous acclaimed academic publications and industry articles.

Jan Furtas, partner, CRIDO

Jan Furtas is a partner in CRIDO’s tax team. His specialization includes dispute management at the level of tax authorities and courts. In particular, he advises clients in tax enquiries, tax investigations, and tax proceedings and represents them in disputes in administrative courts. He has extensive experience in handling disputes involving VAT fraud and due diligence and related areas such as charges on property, tax debt enforcement, negotiations with banks and public relations. Jan also specializes in cooperative compliance, preparing large organisations for joining the Cooperation Programme. His area of expertise covers also real estate tax, where he is involved in both assisting clients and cooperating with the public sector.

Jan is a tax expert for the Business Centre Club in the field of tax dispute resolution and real estate tax issues. He has been actively involved in putting the final touches to the Ministry of Finance Cooperation Programme project.
