Legal 500 returned to Bogotá on 3rd February 2026 for the annual Legal 500 Colombia Awards, celebrating excellence across Colombia’s legal profession and spotlighting the law firms, in-house teams and lawyers that continue to deliver work of the highest standard.

Among the awards presented on the night:

· Brigard Urrutia garnered the title of Colombia Firm of the Year.

· Milbank LLP received the award for International Firm (Operating in Colombia) – Firm of the Year.

· Claudia Benavides of Benavides Mejía Dispute Resolution was recognised as Senior Partner of the Year.

· Jaime Cubillos of Posse Herrera Ruiz was named Lawyer of the Year.

· Andrés Ordóñez of Garrigues received the Next Generation Partner of the Year award.

· María Fernanda Díaz of Cuatrecasas was named Rising Star Associate of the Year.

· Contexto Legal was named Medellín Firm of the Year.

· Alvarez, Lievano, Laserna S.A.S was awarded Boutique Firm of the Year.

· DRET Legal was recognised as Up-and-Coming New Firm of the Year.

· The In-House Team of the Year award, presented in association with vLex part of Clio, was awarded to Ocensa.

Based on Legal 500’s independent research and detailed market analysis, the awards continue to serve as a respected and objective benchmark for performance and quality within Colombia’s legal market.
