New rates for statutory pay

Set out below are the new rates applicable to statutory maternity pay (SMP) and statutory sick pay. The new SMP rate will also apply to statutory adoption pay and statutory paternity pay.

The Low Pay Commission has recently published its recommendations for increases to the normal minimum wage. These are set out below, and, if adopted by the government, will come into effect in October 2006.
