LEGAL 500 GREEN AMBASSADORS SUBMISSION PROCESS

The research schedule and guidelines for Legal 500 Green Ambassadors are now below. Please note that our new individual lawyer-focused Green Ambassadors research replaces our previous firm-wide Green Guide research.

What are Legal 500 Green Ambassadors?

Legal 500 Green Ambassadors are private practice lawyers across specialisms who lead client work advancing decarbonisation and the green transition. They are recognised for their strong sustainability focus—both in legal practice and through wider engagement, such as internal leadership, thought leadership, or participation in key networks and taskforces.

How are lawyers selected for Legal 500 Green Ambassadors?

While diverse in legal expertise, all featured lawyers share a deep commitment to promoting sustainability. Client work remains central to our research, with particular emphasis on work that meaningfully supports green goals or embeds sustainability best practice, regardless of client type or sector.

Green Ambassadors are also distinguished by their broader influence—whether through speaking, writing, or shaping firm and industry sustainability agendas. Submissions should focus on the individual lawyer’s contributions within their national or regional context and only present information relevant to the lawyer nominated.

We welcome your nominations and look forward to highlighting the individuals leading the way on sustainability in the legal sector. For queries, please use our help form.
