- Represented the only defendant acquitted and released from prison in one of the UAE’s most high-profile trials. A Dubai Court found six of seven defendants guilty of defrauding an Islamic bank, sentencing them to 10 years imprisonment and imposing a collective fine of USD 1 billion.
- Defended a client in a claim for AED 40 million compensation following the death of the opponent’s spouse, mother and daughter. Our team were able to prove the driver of the vehicle was under the influence at the time of the accident, breaking the insurance policy laws and losing his right to compensation, winning the case by a verdict of rejection of the claim.
- Legal representation and consultation services for all insurance claims filed by and against Al Sagr National Insurance Company.
- Represented a NASDAQ listed construction group in a dispute with a subcontractor in a project with for a claim valued at AED 71 million.
- Represented a Scottish contractor in claims related to supply of plant at oil refineries for sand and water treatment processing.
- Provided expert advice on UAE law in the Korean Courts following a dispute on a project at a UAE airport arising from delayed competition, valuation of variations, prolongation costs, and liquidated damages, in a claim valued at approximately AED 75 million.
