Team Services

Cambridge Family Law Practice is a different sort of family law firm. Its partner-only make-up means that every client gets the personal, expert service they deserve. There is no drop in service levels when a solicitor is away as clients will always be assisted by someone of the same level of experience and equally committed to the case. The partners work separately or together depending on the demands of the client and the individual case. As a partnership, CFLP has over 110 years of family law experience.

Kathryn joined Cambridge Family Law Practice as a Partner in January 2022, bringing with her a wealth of wide-ranging experience in family law. She acts for clients in financial disputes (arising on divorce/separation, particularly adept at those involving non-disclosure, fraud, business assets and corporate structures) and in cases concerning children, covering disputes such as those relating to where a child should live, as well as applications for parental orders in respect of surrogacy arrangements.  She also has a breadth of experience in cohabitation and nuptial agreements, many of which include international considerations.

Tricia obtained her law degree at Cambridge University. She trained and developed her skills in the family team at a large national firm in Cambridge (qualifying in 2008) before joining Cambridge Family Law Practice as a partner in 2014. She is a trained collaborative practitioner, a highly skilled court advocate and a forensic negotiator with a head for numbers and a talent for client service. Tricia is passionate about resolving family disputes in the most appropriate way for each individual client, and is also a family mediator. Tricia is also a Deputy District Judge.

Simon has more than 25 years’ experience in family law. He facilitates the smooth progress of complex financial matters and seeks to defuse and actively resolve high-conflict children disputes. Wherever there are children, he provides constructive and effective legal guidance, ensuring that everyone involved considers those children’s interests as a priority. He aims for constructive negotiations and the use of non-court dispute resolution processes wherever workable, and provides expert conduct of litigation and court advocacy if not.

Jeremy comes to CFLP from a background of representing children in the High Court on behalf of Cafcass Legal. Jeremy has 15 years of post-qualification experience, mainly practicing in highly complex children disputes in London. Jeremy brings a unique wealth of experience in representing and advising clients on the whole spectrum of family law issues, including complex children matters, international and domestic relocation disputes, surrogacy and assisted conception cases, medical treatment, recognition of foreign adoptions and financial disputes for married or unmarried couples.

Gail has over 30 years’ experience of practising family law, initially in London and latterly in Cambridge but with a client base that extends across the UK and internationally. She provides strong, sensible and no-nonsense advice with a commitment to value and to workable solutions. She is highly-focussed on client service, forward-thinking and solution-orientated, and respected by her peers. Most of Gail’s clients are referred to her by others who have themselves been supported by her through the process of separation, divorce, or civil partnership dissolution.

Adam has specialised in family law for over 25 years. He is dedicated to achieving the best outcome for his clients whilst keeping an open mind and exploring all options to achieve an early, fair and cost-effective settlement. Whether working as a lawyer, advocate, mediator, direct child consultant or collaborative practitioner, he supports and enables his clients to take control and make informed decisions for themselves and their families. Adam has been accredited by Resolution as a specialist in finance and children work, as well as having been appointed to the Law Society’s Family Law panel. He is liked and respected by his peers because he never seeks to escalate a dispute unnecessarily.
