The Criminal Defence team around Dr Björn Kruse includes three other associates with extensive experience in Commercial Criminal Law. The team defends and represents individuals and companies in criminal and administrative proceedings with a focus on Commercial Criminal Law. This includes Criminal Tax Law, Medical Criminal Law, Environmental Criminal Law, Foreign Trade and Insolvency Criminal Law as well as allegations of corruption, competition agreements, insider trading, money laundering or fraud.

In addition, they cover other business-related areas such as the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains, Labour Criminal Law and violations of the German Securities Trading Act or the German Banking Act. The team’s activities also include providing support during all enforcement actions by investigation authorities, e. g. searches (dawn raids), arrest warrants, confiscations and interrogations of accused persons and witnesses.

In addition to defending clients in solely national investigations, the team also specialises in extradition proceedings due to underlying international requests for arrests (Red Notices) by INTERPOL as well as complaints against Red Notices at the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF).
