Team Services

CorralRosales advised on all matters related to competition, including antitrust investigations and merger control. We further advise clients on regulatory industry-specific issues with antitrust effects such as in the aviation, TMT, retail and pharma industries.

We represent clients in investigations for alleged infringements of the competition regime, such as restrictive practices, abuse of power, formation of economic cartels and unfair practices, both at the administrative and judicial levels.

CorralRosales is a leader in merger control; we advise clients on the optimal structuring of complex transactions so as to obtain clearance of integrations and, where necessary, the monitoring of compliance with remedies.

We advise on:

  • Unfair competition
  • Defense of competitive restrictive practices, abuse of market power and other behaviors contrary to free competition
  • Merger control
  • Competition due diligence
  • Training in competition and compliance issues
  • Administrative and judicial proceedings

The team:

CorralRosales has a multidisciplinary team that allows us to combine legal, technical and economic knowledge when defending our clients interests.

Xavier Rosales’ experience in corporate matters and cross-border deals is reflected in the business-oriented approach of the department’s work.

The CorralRosales competition team is well-known in Ecuador and beyond for being able to count on professionals with a strong background in competition as well as administrative and regulatory matters. Such a blend of expertise and knowledge has proven extremely useful in tackling the different strands of difficult cases.

CorralRosales’ industry-oriented approach to legal advice, together with its knowledge and experience of highly regulated industries, have been very useful for the competition practice and giving it a significant advantage over its competitors.

Ana Samudio has a specialized background in competition and telecommunication matters – having worked for several years at the main regional mobile telecommunications company –, and a work-ethic and charisma which has earned her very good relations with the Ecuadorian antitrust authority, with whom Ana has worked since its early days.

Christian Razza has a specialized background in competition and data protection matters. He is a researcher at the University of Barcelona on competition issues. His work-ethics and discipline have been publicly acknowledged by the Ecuadorian antitrust authority.
