Our Belt & Road Desk serves as a contact point for foreign companies and investors operating or planning to invest/operate in Malaysia. With many years of experience supporting clients from China, we understand the cultural differences between the doing business in China and in Malaysia. What Do We Do

Our Belt & Road Desk’s team is chaired by Andre Tan Yu Cheh, together with our managing partner, Dato’ Quek Ngee Meng. Dato’ Quek is a Director of Malaysia-China Business Council and is also a Co-Chairman of the Malaysia-Chinese Commercial Law Cooperation Committee. His other memberships include Chairman of the Silk Road Business Council Malaysia Chapter. Andre Tan is a corporate and commercial lawyer in our firm who concentrates his practice on advising clients in corporate and commercial matters such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate and regulatory compliance.

We have the necessary cultural knowledge and language skills, extensive and wide-ranging experience in advising both domestic and foreign clients (including state-owned enterprises) in various areas such as corporate & commercial, real estate and litigation.

We service a wide range of clients from every sector and advise on a broad range of corporate and commercial works. Services provided by our Belt & Road Desk’s team include:

(i) providing advisory services in general commercial matters, and drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts in English and Chinese;
