At Lennons Solicitors, we value and encourage individuality. We share knowledge, ideas, good practice and life experiences, both professionally and socially. By holding these values close to the heart of the firm, we’ve been able to build a team who come from a plethora of different backgrounds, with each and every member of staff bringing something unique to the table.
By nurturing a team who each have their own experiences, viewpoints and stories to tell, we’re often able to relate to our clients in ways that other law firms simply cannot. We go to great lengths to be the most down-to-earth, approachable lawyers you could possibly hope to meet. A solicitor should be so much more than someone who simply spouts legal jargon; it’s a real skill to be able to deliver dependable legal advice in a way that clients from all backgrounds and walks of life can relate to.
As a result of our outlook on diversity, our staff come from a wide range of backgrounds. Many of our talented solicitors can speak foreign languages in addition to English. This means that you’ll often hear clients conversing with us in languages such as Korean, Romanian, Punjabi or Urdu. We’re very proud to be able to offer legal advice to a diverse array of clients – both individuals and businesses – some of whom travel from across the country to speak with us.
Whilst our commitment to diversity is engrained in the values of the firm, we have also adopted a formal equality and diversity policy, as we are bound to by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We are an equal opportunities employer and all the staff at Lennons are committed to avoiding discrimination based on any “protected characteristics”, as outlined in the Equality Act 2010. This applies to our conduct in each and every element of our business, from internal procedures, to dealing with our clients, to speaking with applicants who wish to join Lennons. This includes making any necessary adjustments to accommodate disabled or vulnerable clients, so that they feel at ease. All of our team are aware of this policy and receive training to ensure that it is universally understood and applied.
To track diversity in the firm, we encourage all of our team to complete our annual diversity questionnaire, the results of which we publish on our website. Whilst completion of the questionnaire is not mandatory, the majority of our staff completed the most recent (2019) edition. This allows us to monitor the diversity of our team and report our findings to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
At Lennons, we’re very proud to have such a diverse range of talented staff, who each offer something different to the firm. It’s the combined talents of our team that drive us forward and allow us to be one of Buckinghamshire’s leading law firms.
